Brett Smith – Chicken Tender

A native of Wappingers Falls, New York, Smitty first came to Colorado to ski—but he stayed to cook! He worked his way up the ranks of Jax Fish House and Zolo Southwestern Grill in Boulder and then spent four years as the Executive Chef of Zozo’s Restaurant on Saint John in the U.S. Virgin Islands. When he came back home to Colorado he took the reins at Zolo once again and in 2014 teamed up with Dave Query and Bryan Selders to open The Post Chicken and Beer in Lafayette.

When he’s not behind the burners of The Post, Smitty enjoys swimming, hiking, and grilling with his wife and kids. He also started a benefit for the Autism Society of Boulder County, called The Jack Ferrigno Send a Kid to Camp Grant, which raises money every year to send area kids in need to summer camp.

James Lopilato – General Manager

Raised in Port Washington, New York, Post Rosedale General Manager James Lopilato has been working in the restaurant industry since age 15 and has held just about every position in the house. Fun fact: while attending the University of Tampa on a lacrosse scholarship, he worked at a bar called Ava where his childhood icon Derek Jeter was a regular.

After enjoying a great meal (and a gravy back shot or two) at The Post Rosedale in 2018, James and his killer mustache decided to join the Post family. James believes in creating a fun, loving work environment where his employees feel empowered to be themselves.

On a day off, you’ll find James hitting the golf course or the batting cages, snowboarding, or on a hike snapping the perfect picture of the view.
